Outgoing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Chandigarh, Kirron Kher on Saturday slammed BJP nominee from the city for the Lok Sabha elections, Sanjay Tandon and his gang, for ignoring her during the campaigning phase for the Lok Sabha elections.

Talking to the reporters after casting her vote, actor-politician, without taking names of local BJP leaders, alleged that at many party functions, she did not even get an invitation.

Accusing the local BJP leaders for ignoring her by not sending any information regarding most of party campaign activities and programmes, Kher said, “Whenever I did get the message, I attended all BJP functions. Some party leaders also did not mention my work during the campaign, which I have done over the past 10 years,” quoted Hindustan Times.

Kher alleged that she was ignored by local party individuals in Chandigarh, not by the party as a whole. She also told the media that internal collision and conflicts have always existed with the party, however on the issue of voting everyone are on the same page.

“But, I feel, when it comes to voting, all are together,” she added.

Kher was a consecutive two-time MP from Chandigarh, beginning 2014. This time, the BJP has fielded Sanjay Tandon.
