Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in France to co-chair the AI Action Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron.

Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by President Macron at a welcome dinner in Paris on Monday.

Taking to social media platform X, PM Modi expressed his pleasure at meeting Macron, stating, “Delighted to meet my friend, President Macron in Paris.”

The Indian diaspora in Paris extended a warm welcome to the Prime Minister. Despite the chilly weather, a large number of community members gathered to greet him.

Sharing pictures from the event, PM Modi wrote, “A memorable welcome in Paris! The cold weather didn’t deter the Indian community from showing their affection this evening. Grateful to our diaspora and proud of them for their accomplishments!”

During the dinner, he also interacted with newly elected US Vice President JD Vance, who is in France for the summit.

This visit marks the first leg of PM Modi’s two-nation tour. After concluding his engagements in France, he is set to travel to the United States, where he will meet President Donald Trump on February 12-13.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) shared an update on X, posting, “PM @narendramodi interacts with President @EmmanuelMacron and USA @VP @JDVance in Paris.”

During his three-day visit, PM Modi will co-chair the AI Summit, hold bilateral discussions with President Macron, and engage with business leaders to strengthen economic ties.
