The Congress on Tuesday (March 11) criticized the government over the prolonged delay in NEET-PG admissions, despite results being declared in August last year. The party termed the delay as "unacceptable" and questioned Union Health Minister JP Nadda over the issue.

Congress general secretary in charge of communications, Jairam Ramesh, took to X to highlight the plight of medical aspirants.

"Results of the NEET-PG exams were announced on August 23, 2024. Today is March 11, 2025 and admissions have still NOT been completed. 80,000 aspiring medical postgraduates are suffering," Ramesh wrote.

He further demanded an explanation from the government, stating, “This delay is unacceptable @JPNadda. Why is this happening?"

The opposition has been vocal in criticizing the government over issues in the education sector, with repeated concerns raised about mismanagement in medical entrance processes. However, there has been no official response from the Union Health Ministry on the matter so far.
