Hyderabad Police have registered another case against Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA Raja Singh, for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during Ram Navami programme a few days back. Singh joins BJP's Hyderabad Lok Sabha consituency candidate Madhavi Latha to be booked by the police for violating MCC in last 4 days.

The case was registered by the Sultan Bazar police under section 188(disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant), 290(public nuisance) of IPC, and 21/76 CP Act. It is learnt that the Police had registered the case on April 18, however the information of which surfaced later.
However, the BJP MLA has recieved a widespread flak for his alledged hate speech on the same day. In a video which went viral on social media, Raja Singh, the sitting BJP MLA from Goshamahal assembly constituency was seen to make provocative statements to a gathering during Ram Navami celebrations on 17th of April.
In the video, the BJP leader was seen to be saying that after Ayodhya, along with Kashi and Mathura, 40,000 mosques will be reclaimed. 'We will teach the coming generation Kar Seva and will reclaim Kashi and Mathura.'
Another FIR had also been registered against Raja Singh on 17 April, for leading the Ram Navami procession without permission.
The MCC is in place in Telangana due to the Lok Sabha elections. The state will vote for the Lok Sabha on 13 May.
