The connection to the murder of Ram Narayan Baghel, a migrant worker from Chhattisgarh, in Valayar, Palakkad district of Kerala, has been revealed. Kerala has a Left-led government, while Chhattisgarh has a BJP government. Since the mob lynching took place in Kerala, the Godi  media and the BJP immediately launched an attack on the Kerala government. However, as the investigation progressed, the involvement of RSS-BJP members in this mob lynching came to light, with Ram Narayan being falsely accused of being an illegal 'Bangladeshi' immigrant. As soon as this fact was revealed, the Godi media went silent, and the Sanghi groups have also fallen silent.

Ramnarayan Baghel was from Karahi villege of Sakti district in Chhattisgarh. He was a farm laborer and unable to support his family with the small piece of land he owned. Therefore, migrating after the farming season was a necessity for him. He chose Kerala, one of the farthest states, because wages there are significantly higher than in the rest of India, and migrant workers are treated with respect.

Like other villagers, he had voted for the Congress party in 2018. Bhupesh Baghel was his hero then, but this time, disillusioned with Baghel and the Congress, he voted for the BJP. Perhaps he was influenced by the mainstream media's propaganda that a "double-engine government" in Chhattisgarh would improve his life. Like other villagers, he was unaware that changes in the lives of laborers and farmers don't come from simply switching parties, like flipping a roti on a griddle, but from changing anti-people policies. So, Ramnarayan's life didn't change with the BJP coming to power instead of the Congress, nor was it expected to. In search of better employment, he migrated again and chose Kerala, seeking a life of dignity.

But earning respect is not so easy for a migrant agricultural worker, because the same forces that forced him to leave Chhattisgarh are also present in Kerala. While these forces are in power in Chhattisgarh, in Kerala they have been relentlessly trying for years to seize power through hateful politics and the propaganda of the subservient media. However, the people of Kerala are not willing to give any quarter to this Sanghi  gang. Of course, this group never lacks pretexts for spreading hatred, and it tries to make its presence felt using these pretexts from time to time.

The Bangladeshi issue is quite convenient for the BJP's politics of hatred. They have played this card in the Jharkhand and Bihar elections, and are playing it again in the West Bengal elections. Regardless of the election results, this is a very opportune issue for dividing society along Hindu-Muslim lines and creating communal polarization. The Sanghi gang hopes that sooner or later, they will benefit from its poisonous fruits. But no one had imagined that this issue would be tried in a distant state like Kerala, which doesn't even share a border with Bangladesh. Yet it was tried, and that too on Ramnarayan Baghel, a laborer from Chhattisgarh, who was a Hindu, a BJP voter, and not a Bengali ; he didn't even speak Bengali, but he was lynched as an "illegal Bangladeshi." This is happening even though the Election Commission, which has been manipulated for this campaign, is still unable to state how many foreign nationals, and specifically Bangladeshis, it has identified, despite the ongoing SIR-cum-NRC process across the country.

Those who sought to target the CPI(M) and the Left Front government in Kerala were disappointed when the Kerala government swiftly apprehended the accused and exposed their criminal backgrounds. The perpetrators of the attack turned out to be activists and supporters of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, who had actively campaigned for the BJP in the recently held local body elections. They are known criminals with previous cases registered against them, including charges of attempted murder.

According to information provided by the Kerala government, the first accused, Anu, son of Appunni, has 9 criminal cases registered against him at the Valayar Police Station (FIR Nos.: 30/2007, 002/2009, 106/2012, 364/2012, 569/2012, 829/2013, 336/2015, 419/2015, 04/2023), including serious charges such as grievous assault and attempted murder. All these cases are registered at the Valayar Town North and Kasaba police stations. Another accused, Prasad, son of Chandran, has 2 cases registered against him (FIR Nos.: 996/2014, 821/2015), and Murali, son of Chathu, has 3 cases registered against him (FIR Nos.: 2/2009, 106/2012, 569/2012). Although the Sangh Parivar, true to its nature, has denied any association with these attackers, a local BJP leader, R. Jinesh, who is an accused in another murder case, provided them with full support during the court proceedings.

The Sangh Parivar is using mob lynching as a political weapon. It's noteworthy that at the end of July this year, two nuns associated with a church in Kerala were attacked by Bajrang Dal activists at Durg railway station in Chhattisgarh, in the presence of police, on the false accusation of religious conversion. The BJP government also fabricated a false case against these nuns, accusing them of human trafficking of three adult tribal women from Bastar. These three tribal women have been followers of Christianity for generations. Following nationwide outrage over this incident, the entire Sangh Parivar was forced to back down. The Kerala BJP state president had to publicly apologize to the people of Kerala for the attacks on the nuns. The nuns were later granted bail by the NIA court. The three tribal women also filed a complaint against the Sangh Parivar with the State Women's Commission. They were subjected to various forms of harassment at the commission and pressured to give statements against the nuns.

It's clear that the hateful Sanghi goons are targeting not only Christians and Muslims, but also tribals and even Hindus. Sometimes the excuse is religious conversion, sometimes it's "love jihad," and if they can't find anything else, they simply label Hindus as Bangladeshis. The business of hatred must continue to thrive, as it yields a rich harvest of votes. After emerging as the largest bloc in the Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation elections with the help of Shashi Tharoor and other Congress leaders, this is the well-planned strategy of the Sanghi gang : to further this politics of hatred by any means necessary.

Across India, Christian and Muslim minorities are facing widespread attacks. Throughout the country, Sanghi gangs have targeted Christmas celebrations. In some places, laborers selling red Santa hats have been attacked, while in others, prayer meetings have been disrupted and churches have been stoned. Across the country, hateful mobs have burned effigies of Santa Claus and pelted them with shoes! In Raipur, the capital of BJP-ruled Chhattisgarh, not only were malls decorated for Christmas attacked, but members of the Christian community were beaten after being asked their names. Every year, schools are given a holiday during the Christmas season. This year, in many places in BJP-ruled states, this holiday has been canceled or shortened. This also signals a potential move to quietly eliminate the holiday given on this day in government offices in the coming years.

According to the United Christian Forum, there were 843 incidents of crimes against Christians across India in 2024 alone, averaging 70 violent incidents every month. By November 2025, 706 such incidents had already been recorded. This hypocrisy is evident within the Sangh-BJP : on one hand, Sangh-affiliated gangs were attacking children's bands singing Christmas carols, assaulting these young children with sticks and batons and destroying their musical instruments ; on the other hand, Prime Minister Modi was engaging in photo-opps at a cathedral church to garner some votes from the Christian community in Kerala and further his divisive Hindutva agenda.

The hateful campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah with the aim of communal polarization for electoral gain is responsible for creating an environment where mob lynchings are taking place based on the false fear of illegal "Bangladeshi infiltrators." The entire world is witnessing the rise of Hindutva terrorism in India under BJP rule, where Christian and Muslim communities are being marginalized and reduced to second-class citizens.

In Bangladesh, Hindus are a minority and are being attacked by Muslim fundamentalists who are spreading hatred against the Hindu community. Here in India, Christians and Muslims are minorities, and Hindutva forces are attacking them. The people of both countries must understand that, whether here or there, the character of communal forces is the same. They engage in the politics of hatred, seize power, and enrich themselves, opening up avenues for their capitalist corporate friends to illegally fill their coffers.

Following the mob lynching of Ramnarayan Baghel by a Sanghi gang, the Kerala government not only promptly arrested the accused but also provided Rs 30 lakh in compensation to the deceased's family and made all necessary arrangements. In contrast, the state from which he was forced to migrate, despite having a BJP "double-engine" government, merely announced a meager Rs 5 lakh in compensation and has yet to provide any further assistance to the victim's family. The BJP government must explain why, under its su-(Vishnu) shasan ("good governance"), poor people are forced to migrate for their livelihood and why migrant workers are becoming victims of persecution by Sanghi gangs. The Sangh Parivar knows exactly what it is doing, and therefore, they cannot even be forgiven by God.
