Two police officers lost their lives in a road accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the Lasjan area of Srinagar, news agency PTI reported, citing officials on Monday (August 11).
The incident occurred at Tengan when three sub-inspectors were travelling from Srinagar to Jammu after completing their Amarnath Yatra duty.
All three were rushed to a hospital, where two officers, identified as Sachin Verma and Shubham, were declared dead on arrival.
The third officer, Mastan Singh, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment, the official added.
