According to Yemen’s Houthi-run health ministry, four people were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah.

The strike, yet to be confirmed by Israeli authorities, marks the first Israeli attack within Beirut's city limits since airstrikes began in Gaza last year. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) has also announced that three of its members were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Kola district of Beirut, Lebanon.

Israel has recently extended its military operations to Lebanon, claiming these are pre-emptive strikes targeting Hezbollah, a group it views as a significant threat. These strikes have resulted in nearly 1,000 deaths, thousands of injuries, and the displacement of around half a million people.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported that 105 people were killed in Israeli strikes within a 24-hour period. Meanwhile, five civil defense personnel affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority were also killed in an Israeli strike on the Bekaa Valley, according to Al Jazeera.

The PFLP, a secular left-wing group allied with Hezbollah and supportive of Hamas, confirmed the deaths of its military security chief Mohammad Abdel-Aal, military commander Imad Odeh, and another member, Abdelrahman Abdel-Aal. Witnesses cited by Reuters reported that the strike hit the top floor of an apartment building.

This escalation comes just a day after Israel reportedly killed Hezbollah's longtime leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
